To celebrate Single Parents‘ Day (21st March) we’d like to direct your attention to the Single Parent Rights campaign.
Single parents have faced discrimination in the past, not just socially but also in housing, employment, parental rights and government benefits.
Now more than ever in our current climate of restrictions and social isolation do single parents need your support.
As such a recent campaign is fighting to make sure Single Parents are added to the Equality Act 2010 as a ‘protected characteristic’ which would provide legal protection against discrimination.
